The Academic Affairs Department of the State Educational Institution
“Technical College of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M. Osimi” is one of the key structural units responsible for managing academic activities. It operates in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, sectoral regulatory acts, the Charter of the institution, decisions of the Academic Council, and instructions of the College administration.
Main areas of responsibility:
improving the quality of education and enhancing the academic process;
organizing, coordinating, and ensuring the implementation of the academic process at the College;
aligning the activities of departments and faculties with modern educational requirements;
improving the professional and pedagogical competence of the teaching staff;
developing, proposing, and implementing the College’s strategic development plan;
disseminating and analyzing advanced academic practices of departments and faculties.
Main functions of the Academic Affairs Department:
preparing the annual academic work plan and monitoring its implementation;
organizing, supervising, and distributing materials related to the academic process;
developing and approving academic curricula;
organizing and supervising academic and industrial internships;
coordinating faculty activities in planning students’ independent work and monitoring academic progress;
supervising the implementation of curricula across all specialties;
reviewing and analyzing the academic performance of departments and faculties;
maintaining records of student enrollment and movement;
analyzing and reporting examination session results and student attendance;
preparing statistical reports and instructional-methodological materials;
supervising and distributing educational and training materials;
planning the use of classrooms and laboratories and ensuring their technical equipment;
monitoring the readiness and delivery of all types of classes and forms of instruction;
preparing analytical reports and information on academic and methodological activities;
preparing materials for approval of teaching and support staff positions;
allocating and monitoring the use of hourly wage funds;
reviewing and responding to correspondence related to academic matters;
preparing annual reports on academic and methodological activities;
performing other duties assigned by the College administration and the Academic Council.
