On May 28, 2026, the first-day events of the International Skills Forum Tajikistan – 2026 were held at the Skills Development Center in Danghara District.

The forum was organized with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to showcase the professional skills potential of the country’s citizens, facilitate the exchange of international experience, and strengthen regional and international cooperation. The event brought together representatives of educational institutions and development partners from various countries.

Representing the Technical College, Deputy Director for International Relations Zoirjon Hakimov and Head of the International Relations Department Parviz Safarzoda participated in the forum. They became acquainted with the forum activities, best practices, and opportunities for developing international cooperation in the field of vocational education.

During the opening ceremony, the Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ms. Soleha Kholmakhmadzoda, spoke about the continuous support provided by the Government for the development of professional skills and the creation of favorable opportunities for young people. Mr. Ko Sakamoto, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank in the Republic of Tajikistan, also highlighted the importance of such events for experience sharing and the expansion of international cooperation.

As part of the forum, professional competitions are being held in the fields of “Electrician,” “Plasterer,” “Gas and Electric Welder,” and “Solar Electrical Equipment Installer,” with the participation of representatives from Central Asian countries, the Republic of Türkiye, and the People’s Republic of China.

Participation in international events of this level provides valuable opportunities for expanding international relations, learning advanced practices, and strengthening institutional cooperation in the field of vocational education and training.
