Today, on March 7, 2026, a cultural and entertainment event dedicated to the celebration of Mother’s Day was held in the cultural hall of the Technical College of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M. Osimi under the title “No treasure is greater than a mother.”
The event was attended by distinguished guests including Nukra Sunnatniyo — poetess, member of the Writers’ Union of Tajikistan and laureate of the Mirzo Tursunzoda Prize; Lola Azizova — People’s Artist of Tajikistan; as well as members of the administration, teachers, and students of the Technical College.
At the beginning of the event, the Director of the Technical College, respected Nizomzoda Zokirjon Mukaram, warmly congratulated the women and mothers of the college on the occasion of Mother’s Day. He noted that thanks to the peaceful life of the people of Tajikistan and the wise initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation and President of the country, respected Emomali Rahmon, Mother’s Day is widely celebrated throughout the country.
Indeed, mothers are the foundation of family prosperity, the spiritual world of the household, the upbringing of children, the respect and support of husbands, and the stability and strength of the family.
As it is said:
If women are adorned with knowledge,
Then life gains new hope.
Although there are no prophets among women,
Every prophet has a mother.
After that, the poetess Nukra Sunnatniyo, a member of the Writers’ Union of Tajikistan and laureate of the Mirzo Tursunzoda Prize, delivered a speech congratulating the participants on Mother’s Day and wishing them health and long life. She emphasized that a mother is truly a miracle of the world, because every person is born from a mother. A mother raises her child with boundless love and care, as a mother’s love for her child is incomparable.
As a poet once said:
The suffering a mother endures in one night
Cannot be repaid even with two worlds.
According to the cultural program of the event, poems and songs dedicated to women and mothers were performed by the People’s Artist of the Republic of Tajikistan Lola Azizova, and interesting theatrical performances prepared by students were presented to the audience.
At the end of the event, several employees and teachers were awarded certificates of appreciation from the administration of the Technical College.
