On May 4, 2026, at the initiative of Sharif Gulov — Senior Lecturer of the Department of Languages at the Technical College of TTU named after Academician M. Osimi, a round table titled “The Role of Abulqosim Lahuti in Modern Tajik Literature” was organized and held in the library hall with the participation of invited guests.

The event was attended by guests: Mirzosaid Sattori — performer of the “Nuri Khujand” ensemble and Honored Cultural Worker of Tajikistan, Rahmat Gadoiboev — performer of the same ensemble, as well as representatives of the scientific department, teachers, and students of the college.

The Deputy Director for Science and Innovation, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Kholiknazar Azimov, delivered a speech emphasizing that Abulqosim Lahuti, after Sadriddin Ayni, is not only a poet but also one of the founders of modern Soviet Tajik literature and a promoter of ideas of freedom. His contributions to the development of a new alphabet, the growth of national theater, and the creation of the first National Anthem of Tajikistan are recorded in history in golden letters. His legacy serves as a bridge between classical and modern literature.

During the event, students presented academic reports on the poet’s life and social activities. They recited well-known patriotic and lyrical poems with great skill and highlighted the humanistic aspects of his творчество.

The artistic segment of the round table was enhanced by the performance of Mirzosaid Sattori, an Honored Cultural Worker of Tajikistan. He performed several songs and ghazals based on Lahuti’s poetry, creating a warm atmosphere and deepening the audience’s appreciation of the poet’s work.

In conclusion, it was emphasized that studying Lahuti’s works serves as an important school of self-awareness and respect for national values for the younger generation.
