The Message of the Leader of the Nation is a program that covers all aspects of the development of the country’s domestic and foreign policy. This year’s Message was delivered by the Great Leader of the Nation, taking into account the development trends of the world community and Tajikistan’s vision and position in this process, and a deep and broad review of the main key directions of the country’s development, which is considered a guiding light and a complete concept of deep and stable knowledge related to the development of the country for all the people of the country and us, the people of science and education.
It is a matter of pride that this year’s Message of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, was presented in the new conditions of the country’s sustainable development and the stage of constructive and creative expansion and keeping pace with the world community. Indeed, all our successes in all areas are inextricably linked to achievements and progress in the economic sphere.
As the Leader of the Nation noted in this year’s Address: “To ensure the socio-economic development of the country during this period, more than 670 billion somoni, including 159 billion somoni of foreign investment, were directed from all sources of financing.” During this period, the gross domestic product per capita increased by 2.7 times, from 6 thousand somoni in 2015 to 16.4 thousand somoni in 2025. Therefore, these figures indicate that, despite all the challenges we have been facing in recent years, namely drought and economic sanctions imposed by European and American countries on one of our main strategic partners, the Russian Federation, we were able to ensure the country’s economic growth at the level of 8.4%. If we look in depth from the perspective of analyzing and assessing economic aspects, the Address of the Leader of the Nation considers the development of the economic sector and the creation of new production enterprises as key issues. Because in the case of the construction of industrial enterprises, the population will be provided with jobs, good salaries, and domestic products, and this initiative will affect several other aspects of the economy. That is, economic progress is the provision of jobs, good salaries, domestic products, a decrease in imports, the enrichment of the domestic market, the emergence of new types of services, a decrease in labor migration, and thus the cohesion of families, which leads to the spiritual and psychological health of the nation.
Regarding the national economy, during the presentation of the Message of the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon in 2025, the Medium-Term Development Program for 2026-2030 was adopted as the final stage of the National Development Strategy for the period up to 2030, the timely and high-quality implementation of which will allow the volume of gross domestic product to double in the next five years, the poverty rate to decrease by 10 percent, and the share of the middle class to increase by 50 percent. During this period, economic growth is growing by an average of 8.7 percent annually, including 20 percent in industrial production, 8.4 percent in agriculture, and 11.7 percent in paid services.”
Of course, at the current stage of the country’s development, the priority is to strengthen the economic and social foundations for implementing social policy aimed at improving the standard of living and well-being of the people. After all, social policy is one of the important directions of state regulation of the economy and, as a basic and fundamental component of the state’s domestic policy, is aimed at ensuring the well-being and comprehensive development of citizens and society as a whole.
Thus, the worthy status of independent Tajikistan in the system of international relations is precisely the product of the school of solid and valuable knowledge of the Leader of the Nation, the esteemed Emomali Rahmon. On the one hand, in the difficult conditions of globalization, the policy pursued by the Head of State to preserve national integrity and values served as a key factor in the stability of statehood and entered a qualitatively new stage in the presentation of Tajik civilization in the world arena.
On the other hand, under the leadership of the Leader of the Nation, Tajikistan not only strengthened its political position in the world, but also became recognized as a cultural center in the region and the world. In this regard, the constructive and great steps of this outstanding historical figure in the development of the national economy, the direction of self-awareness and the protection of state values provide a real basis for the country’s presentation in the international arena and illuminate our path to a bright future.
