On June 4, 2026, an award ceremony for the winners of the district stage of the Republican Competition “Science – The Light of Enlightenment” was held at the hall of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M. Osimi. Four winning students from the Technical College of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M. Osimi were awarded cash prizes, diplomas, and certificates of merit. The college administration was also honored with a Letter of Appreciation from the Executive Body of State Authority of the Shohmansur District.
It should be noted that the Republican Competition “Science – The Light of Enlightenment” is held annually on the initiative and under the patronage of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, as part of the implementation of the “Twenty-Year Program for the Study and Development of Natural, Exact, and Mathematical Sciences in the Field of Science and Education.”
The main objectives of the competition are to develop scientific and technical thinking, promote a scientific worldview, encourage innovation and inventiveness, strengthen the connection between science and industry, expand young people’s access to modern technologies, attract school and university students to the study of natural, exact, and mathematical sciences, and discover new talents.
It is worth mentioning that this year, four students from the Technical College of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M. Osimi became winners in the fields of Physics, Artificial Intelligence, and Programming, earning qualification for the next (city) stage of the competition:
- Yusuf Rajabalievich Rabiev – Artificial Intelligence and Programming, 1st Place 🥇;
- Shikebo Abdullojonovna Sharifova – Artificial Intelligence and Programming, 2nd Place 🥈;
- Alisher Hakimovich Shamsiddinov – Artificial Intelligence and Programming, 3rd Place 🥉;
- Yusuf Suhrobovich Davlatov – Physics and Astronomy, 3rd Place 🥉.
