On March 11, 2026, a scientific and practical seminar titled “From Student to Successful Professional: Opportunities of the Construction and Architecture Profession in Tajikistan and the World” was held in the assembly hall of the Technical College of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M. Osimi. The event was attended by architect-designer and founder of the Different Design studio Ansori Najmiddinov, representatives of the administration, as well as teachers and students of the college.
The event was opened by the Deputy Director for Science and Innovation, Kholiknazar Azimov, who welcomed the guests and participants and noted that the development of the construction and architecture sector largely depends on the training of highly qualified specialists. Young architects and builders, making use of available opportunities, acquire modern knowledge and contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the country as competitive professionals.
It was noted that under the conditions of rapid socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan, the construction and architecture sector is one of the most important and dynamically developing fields. This sector plays a key role not only in building modern infrastructure but also in creating a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment in the cities and settlements of Tajikistan. Therefore, training professional specialists in construction and architecture is one of the key tasks of the Technical College of TTU named after Academician M. Osimi.
Afterwards, architect-designer and founder of Different Design studio Ansori Najmiddinov delivered a presentation titled “From Architecture Student to Successful Architect: Experience, Opportunities, and Achievements.” He emphasized that the path to success in architecture greatly depends on continuous effort, constant learning, and the development of professional skills.
Ansori Najmiddinov also shared his personal experience and presented several successful projects designed by him and already implemented in practice. He advised students that in order to achieve high results they should constantly improve their knowledge and actively participate in competitions, projects, and various internships. He noted that only through dedicated work, creativity, and the use of new opportunities can significant success in architecture be achieved.
He also stressed that students should pay special attention not only to theoretical knowledge but also to developing creative abilities, learning modern technologies and design software, and gaining practical experience. Today, due to the rapid development of urban planning and construction, the demand for young and skilled architects continues to grow.
Later, the Head of the Department of Construction and Architecture, Zarifbek Fozilov, delivered a speech noting that all necessary conditions have been created at the department for training highly qualified specialists. He emphasized that the use of modern teaching methods, the introduction of innovative technologies, and the organization of practical classes play an important role in the educational process.
It was also emphasized that close cooperation with organizations and institutions in the construction sector allows students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice. Students were encouraged to make effective use of the available opportunities, strive to improve their knowledge and professional skills, and contribute to the development of architecture and construction in the country.
At the end of the event, participants asked questions to the speakers and expressed satisfaction with the answers received.
It was noted that holding such events is important for improving the knowledge and professional skills of students, familiarizing them with modern experience in the field of architecture and construction, and preparing competitive young specialists.
