The National Army is one of the most important pillars of sovereign statehood and plays a decisive role in strengthening the foundations of independence, safeguarding territorial integrity, and ensuring national security. After gaining state independence, the need arose to establish national defense forces as a guarantor of peace and stability and a protector of the country’s interests. This important historical task was accomplished under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. The establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan during a sensitive political and social period was a firm step toward strengthening statehood and restoring constitutional structures. From the very first days, the National Army assumed the great responsibility of protecting the borders of the Homeland, ensuring public peace, and countering all forms of threats. Over the years, this vital state institution has undergone stages of formation and development, transforming into an organized and capable structure. Today, the Armed Forces possess a comprehensive structure, an effective management system, and a professional corps of officers and soldiers who serve with a strong spirit of patriotism.
Service in the ranks of the National Army is a great school of courage, discipline, and self-awareness for young people, as the military environment strengthens their sense of responsibility and respect for the law. During their service, young citizens learn that defending the Homeland is not only a duty but also an honor and pride for every conscious citizen. Service conditions improve year by year, and military units are equipped with modern technology and equipment to ensure that combat readiness meets contemporary standards. The state pays special attention to the social welfare of military personnel, improving living conditions and enhancing their professional skills. Draft campaigns demonstrate that patriotism and civic responsibility among the younger generation are increasing, as many voluntarily join the ranks of the Armed Forces. This process confirms society’s high regard for the National Army as a guarantor of peace and stability.
The peace and tranquility prevailing in the country today are the result of the tireless service of soldiers and officers who serve at mountainous borders, in remote areas, and under difficult conditions. With strong determination and a high sense of responsibility, they protect the state borders and create favorable conditions for the peaceful life of the people. When society develops in an atmosphere of peace and stability, the economy advances, and the younger generation gains opportunities for education and creativity — all this is made possible by the presence of reliable defense forces. Therefore, strengthening the country’s defense capacity and educating young people in the spirit of patriotism are important tasks for the entire society.
In the modern world, where various security threats exist, including extremism and transnational crime, the National Army, as a reliable shield of the state, fulfills the mission of ensuring national security and protecting strategic interests. Only by relying on national unity, civic awareness, and the readiness of young people for devoted service can we preserve our state independence and territorial integrity. Today, the National Army stands as a symbol of strength, stability, and public confidence, playing a significant role in strengthening statehood and protecting national values. Therefore, respect for the defenders of the Homeland and support for them is the duty of every citizen, as the durability of peace and stability depends on their will and dedication.
