The Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan were established on February 23, 1993, upon the direct initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Honourable Emomali Rahmon.

They were formed during an extremely tense political, economic, and social period in the country, with full military structures and equipment, thanks to the dedication and bravery of the nation’s young patriots.

Over the 33 years of their existence, the Armed Forces have played a crucial role in the development and strengthening of Tajikistan. In difficult and sensitive times, far from their families and homes, young defenders of the Homeland, like the legendary Rustam, stood ready to sacrifice themselves to protect the sacred borders of our beloved country — Tajikistan.

Today, the Tajik nation faces an important task: educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, national self-awareness, loyalty to the Homeland, respect for national values, pursuit of knowledge, rejection of harmful groups, and commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

It should be emphasized that the conditions of military service in the units of the Armed Forces have significantly improved compared to previous years. Young people now have opportunities to practically familiarize themselves with modern equipment, refine their skills, and prepare themselves to safeguard national borders and ensure peace and stability.

The contribution of the National Army to preserving state independence and achieving national unity is invaluable. Brave defenders of the Homeland protected the country during the most difficult historical periods.

We can confidently state that our National Army is the guarantor of our peace and stability.

May the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan remain strong and everlasting!
