State independence is considered the most valuable blessing for every nation, and for the Tajik people it represents not only a historical event but also the beginning of a new era of national self-awareness, revival of national values, and strengthening of statehood. Thanks to independence, Tajikistan gained the opportunity to determine its own path of development and to appear on the international stage as a sovereign state with a stable position. This process contributed to increasing the country\u2019s prestige and reputation and to introducing it among the nations of the world. Today, it can proudly be said that the name of Tajikistan and the Tajik nation is recognized throughout the world, which is a clear sign of the achievements of independence.<\/p>\n

During the years of independence, under the guidance of a far-sighted policy and the consistent efforts of the country\u2019s leadership, Tajikistan managed to strengthen its position in the international arena and establish diplomatic relations and mutually beneficial cooperation with various countries and influential international organizations. These partnerships created favorable conditions for economic, social, and political development. Today, as an active member of the global community, the country participates in resolving important global issues and plays a significant role in promoting constructive initiatives. This process demonstrates that independence enabled Tajikistan to transform from a dependent country into an active and influential state.<\/p>\n

The achievement of independence was a destiny-defining event in the history of Tajik statehood because from that moment the Tajik people gained the right to determine their own future and guide society toward building a democratic, law-based, and secular state in which human rights and freedoms, respect for national values, and the development of civil society occupy a central place. All of this shows that independence is not merely a political concept but a true value in the life of every citizen.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the period of independence began with a number of serious challenges that became a difficult test for the state and the nation. The civil war created the danger of losing national statehood and the disintegration of the nation. However, the strong will of the people and the consistent efforts of the country\u2019s leadership made it possible to restore peace and stability and save the country from instability. This event remains in the nation\u2019s memory as one of the greatest historical achievements, because peace and national unity became the main foundations for the country\u2019s further development.<\/p>\n

With the restoration of stability and the strengthening of statehood, Tajikistan entered a new stage of development and undertook important measures for economic and social progress. As a result, the construction of modern infrastructure, including roads, tunnels, and bridges, became one of the country\u2019s priorities. Such projects are important not only for improving transportation and internal connectivity but also for developing the national economy and expanding regional cooperation. Today, it can be said that Tajikistan is gradually overcoming its communication isolation and becoming a connecting country in the region.<\/p>\n

At the same time, ensuring energy independence became one of the country\u2019s most important strategic goals. In this direction, the construction of hydropower plants, power transmission lines, and other major energy facilities was implemented. These measures play a significant role in ensuring sustainable economic development and improving the living conditions of the population, and the results of this far-sighted policy are now felt in all areas of public life.<\/p>\n

The experience of state-building shows that independence and national unity are the two main foundations of a stable state, because only through them can political stability, economic development, and social progress be ensured. Every citizen of the country must understand that protecting these sacred values is their duty, since the future of the state depends on the responsibility and contribution of each individual. Only through the unity of society can great goals be achieved.<\/p>\n

Today, on the eve of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, each of us proudly reflects on the achievements gained and is obliged to contribute to the further prosperity and development of our beloved Motherland. Independence is not only the heritage of the past but also the responsibility of the present and the future. Only by preserving and strengthening it can the bright future of Tajikistan be ensured. Independence is a priceless blessing and the main source of the development and progress of the Tajik nation, because it enabled the country to choose its own independent path and gain a worthy place in the global community. Today, the duty of every citizen is to protect this great blessing and contribute to the further development of the state so that Tajikistan will always remain an independent, peaceful, and progressive country.<\/p>\n
